Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s $50,000/Year
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Graduate Scholarship Program enables the nation’s next generation of leaders students with exceptional promise and financial need—to achieve their dreams by pursuing graduate degrees at top colleges and universities across the country.
One of the largest and most competitive scholarship programs in the nation, the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship provides awards of up to $50,000 per year for up to six years of study to deserving low-income college seniors and recent college graduates (who graduated within the past five years).
The amount and duration of the Foundation’s awards vary, based on factors that include cost of graduate education and other scholarships received. Approximately 1,000 students are nominated for the program each year, with approximately 30 receiving the Foundation’s financial assistance to attend the nation’s top graduate and professional schools.
SELECTION CRITERIA
A review panel of distinguished faculty and admissions professionals judge the nominees using criteria including academic achievement and critical thinking ability, financial need, will to succeed, and a breadth of interest and activities.
Students interested in the program must be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Faculty Representative at their school, and may not apply directly to the Foundation. Each college or university may nominate up to two students to be considered for the Graduate Scholarship.
Through our annual Graduate Scholarship Program, we provide scholarships worth up to $50,000 per year to help students and recent alumni earn a graduate or professional degree in any field.
